What is a Whistleblower?
A whistleblower is someone who reports a wrongdoing, risk or illegal activity they have witnessed through their work.
Whistleblowing is about acting in the public interest to stop problems that could harm our customers, the environment, or the energy market. You are encouraged to report any matter you reasonably believe has occurred, is currently occurring, or may occur in the future. By speaking up, you help Maxen Power maintain the highest standard of safety and integrity.
Who Can Use This?
This channel is open to all “Workers” as defined by the Employment Rights Act 1996.
This includes:
Current and former employees
Individual contractors and consultants
Workers and interns
Third-party brokers and intermediaries (TPIs) acting on our behalf
What to Report?
You should use this channel if you have a reasonable belief that any of the following is happening, has happened, or is likely to happen:

Criminal offences (including fraud or bribery)

Breaches of Ofgem Supply Licence Conditions or energy market rules

Mis-selling or unethical conduct by brokers/TPIs

Failure to comply with a legal obligation

Health and safety risks

Environmental damage

Deliberate concealment of any of the above
YOUR PROTECTION
In accordance with the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 (PIDA), Maxen Power guarantees that any worker who makes a “Protected Disclosure” in good faith will be protected from any unfair treatment, victimisation, or detriment. Your identity will be kept confidential for as long as possible during any investigation.
